12. Using digital multimeter, measure voltage between positive post (Figure 6, Item 2) of machine battery and
negative terminal of alternator (Figure 6, Item 1). Voltage should not be less than 1 volt of value recorded in
step 3.
a. If voltage is less than 1 volt of value recorded in step 3, replace negative alternator cable (WP 0066). End
of Task.
b. If voltage is equal to value recorded in step 3, negative alternator and negative battery cables are OK.
Proceed to Test 2.
