Always inspect the harness connectorsthat are involved in the circuit.
Poor connections can often be the cause of a problem in an electrical
circuit. Verify that all connections in the circuit are clean and secure,
and that all connections are in good condition. If a problem with a con-
nection is found, correct the problem and verify that this diagnostic code
is Active before performing this procedure.
Perform open or short circuit test ateach harness connection to identify
correct harness to replace.
Perform this test only if condition is active.
Test Step 1. Verify if Code 1482-04
is Active.
1482-04 Code Active - Proceed to
Connect MSD (WP 0006), select
Test Step 2.
Implement 120M and verify 1482-04
is active.
1482-04 Code Not Active -
Troubleshooting complete.
Test Step 2. Test Right Hand Joy-
stick and Scarifier Switch.
1. Turn ignition switch and battery
disconnect switch to the OFF
position (TM 5-3805-293-10).
2. Disconnect harness connector
PE-C8 (WP 0009, Figure 50) from
right hand joystick (WP 0283).
3. Disconnect harness connector P-
C33 (WP 0009, Figure 209) from
scarifier switch (WP 0009, Figure
210) (WP 0275).
4. Using MSD (WP 0006), select
1482-04 Remains Active - Proceed
Implement 120M and verify 1482- to Test Step 3.
04 is not active.
1482-04 Not Active - Proceed to step

5. Connect harness connector P-
C33 (WP 0009, Figure 209) to
scarifier switch (WP 0009, Figure
210) (WP 0275).
