11. Apply O-ring assembly compound to two new O-rings (Figure 24, Item 5).
12. Install bypass tube assembly (Figure 24, Item 2) and O-ring (Figure 24, Item 5) on cylinder head (Figure 24,
Item 4).
N OT E
Use 3/8 in. universal socket to torque bypass tube bolts.
13. Install bypass tube (Figure 24, Item 2), O-ring (Figure 24, Item 5), and two bolts (Figure 24, Item 3) on front
housing (Figure 24, Item 1). Tighten bolts to 16 lb-ft (22 Nm).
