BATTERY CHARGING WITH NATO SLAVE RECEPTACLE

1. Perform Battery Test, in this work package, on each battery to ensure all batteries are charged within 0.5 Volt
DC and 200 CCA (Cold Cranking Amps).
2. Turn battery charger switch OFF.
WARN I N G
Turn battery disconnect switch to OFF before installing NATO receptacle. Failure to follow
this warning may result in injury or death to personnel or damage to equipment.
3. Turn battery disconnect switch to OFF.
4. Connect battery cables to batteries (WP 0194).
5. If equipped with arctic heater, connect battery cables to each arctic battery (WP 0334).
6. Connect NATO slave jack on battery charger to the NATO slave receptacle (WP 0192).
7. Connect red and black charger cables to battery charger.
N OT E
Ensure battery charger switch is OFF before connecting the battery charger power cord.
8. Connect the battery charger power cord to battery charger.
9. Turn battery disconnect switch to ON.
10. Turn battery charger switch ON.
11. Charge battery until the green Charge Complete LED is illuminated.
12. Battery charger will terminate when charge current drops below 1 ampere.
13. When charge is complete, turn battery charger switch OFF.
14. Turn battery disconnect switch to OFF.
15. Remove NATO slave jack on battery charger from NATO slave receptacle (WP 0192).
