FLYWHEEL, FLYWHEEL HOUSING AND GEAR GROUP INSPECT CONTINUED

Use extreme caution when handling heavy parts. Provide adequate support and use
assistance during procedure. Ensure any lifting device used is in good condition and of
suitable load capacity. Keep clear of heavy parts supported only by lifting device. Failure to
follow this warning may result in injury or death to personnel.
N OT E
Flywheel weighs approximately 120 lb (54 kg).
15. Attach link bracket (Figure 31, Item 1) and lifting device (Figure 31, Item 2) to flywheel (Figure 31, Item 3).
16. Using lifting device, remove flywheel (Figure 31, Item 3) from engine. Lower onto flat surface.
17. Remove lifting device (Figure 31, Item 2) and link bracket (Figure 31, Item 1) from flywheel (Figure 31, Item 3).

18. Remove pump drive gear (Figure 32, Item 1) from crankshaft (Figure 32, Item 2).
