FINDING TOP DEAD CENTER POSITION FOR NO. 1 PISTON CONTINUED
1. Remove front cover (WP 0085).
2. Install spacer (Figure 18, Item 7) and two bolts (Figure 18, Item 6) on crankshaft (Figure 18, Item 4).
3. Set torque wrench to 147 lb-ft (199 Nm) and position on crankshaft (Figure 18, Item 4).
4. Rotate crankshaft (Figure 18, Item 4) until hole (Figure 18, Item 2) in camshaft gear (Figure 18, Item 1) aligns
with hole in front housing (Figure 18, Item 3).
5. Install timing pin through hole (Figure 18, Item 5) in camshaft gear (Figure 18, Item 1) and into front housing
(Figure 18, Item 3).
