FINDING TOP DEAD CENTER POSITION FOR NO. 1 PISTON
C AU T I O N
Do not use excessive force to install timing pins.
Do not use timing pin to hold crankshaft during repairs.
Do not exceed 147 lb-ft (199 Nm) for the torque wrench setting when manually turning
engine.
Failure to follow these cautions may result in damage to equipment.
N OT E
Use timing pin to lock camshaft gear in correct position.
Use timing pin to lock crankshaft in correct position.
Use spacer and bolts for step 2 from the damper removal.
