Always inspect the harness connectorsthat are involved in the circuit.
Poor connections can often be the cause of a problem in an electrical
circuit. Verify that all connections in the circuit are clean and secure,
and that all connections are in good condition. If a problem with a con-
nection is found, correct the problem and verify that this diagnostic code
is Active before performing this procedure.
Perform open or short circuit test ateach harness connection to identify
correct harness to replace.
Perform this test only if condition is active.
Test Step 1. Verify if Code 0490-03
is Active.
1. Connect MSD (WP 0006). Select 0490-03 Code Active - Proceed to
Implement 120M and verify 0490- Test Step 2.
03 is active.
0490-03 Code Not Active -
Troubleshooting complete.
Test Step 2. Test for Faulty Imple-
ment Lock Out Switch.
1. Turn ignition switch and battery
disconnect switch to the OFF
position.
2. Disconnect the cab lower wiring
harness connector P-C94 (WP
0009, Figure 207) from implement
lockout switch (WP 0009, Figure
216) (WP 0272).
3. With the implement lockout switch
Continuity - Replace implement
in the lock position (TM 5-3805-
lockout switch (WP 0269).
Proceed to step 5.
measure for continuity between
implement lockout switch (WP
0009, Figure 207) terminal 4 and
terminal 5.
There should be no continuity.
4. With the implement lockout switch

in the unlock position (TM 5-3805-
lockout switch (WP 0269).
Proceed to step 5.
measure for continuity between
