All-Wheel Drive (AWD) Electronic
Sensor Voltage Below Nor-
Control Module (ECM) will log a diag-
mal
nostic code and a warning will appear
on the messenger while the diagnos-
tic code is Active.
N OT E
Always inspect the harness connectorsthat are involved in the circuit.
Poor connections can often be the cause of a problem in an electrical
circuit. Verify that all connections in the circuit are clean and secure,
and that all connections are in good condition. If a problem with a
connection is found, correct the problem and verify that this diagnostic
code is Active before performing this procedure.
Perform open or short circuit test ateach harness connection to identify
correct harness to replace.
Perform this test only if condition is Active.
Test Step 1. Test for Shorted AWD
Control Dial Position Sensor.
All Wheel Drive 120M and verify
2194-04 is active.
2. Turn ignition switch and battery
disconnect switch to the OFF
position.
3. Disconnect cab upper wiring R-
C12 harness connector (WP
0009, Figure 88) from AWD con-
trol dial position sensor connector
4. Turn battery disconnect switch
and ignition switch to the ON posi-
tion.
5. Check for Active code 2194-03 or
Code 2194-04 Becomes Inactive
2194-04 in All Wheel Drive 120M
and 2194-03 Becomes Active - Pro-
ceed to Test Step 2.
Code 2194-04 Remains Active - Pro-
ceed to Test Step 3.
Test Step 2. Perform All Wheel
Drive (AWD) Control Dial Position
1. Turn ignition switch and battery
disconnect switch to the OFF
position.
