TM 5-3805-263-14&P-1 Starting the Engine Above 0C (32F) 1. Move the transmission control lever to NEUTRAL Move the parking/emergency brake lever to PARK 2. Move all controls to hold or off 3. Be sure the centershift control lever is in the INDEX and RUN position. 4. Turn the disconnect switch ON. 5. Observe all the indicators for proper function. 6. The low brake pressure indicator will be off if the air pressure is above 415 kPa (60 psi). 7. The water temperature, hydraulic temperature and the fuel level indicators will normally be off. 8. Apply the service brake several times, until the low brake pressure indicator comes ON. The low air pressure horn should also sound 9. If any of the indicators did not function properly, have the systems checked and correct the cause. 38
