TM 5-3805-263-14&P-1If the bolt and nut that holds the two parts of the seat beltmounting hooks together are not correctly installed, thehooks can separate. This will allow the seat belt toseparate from its mounting.Inspect the hooks of each half of the belt to make certainthe bolt and nut are correctly installed.If the bolt and nut are not correctly installed, removethem. Install a new bolt and nut.Adjust both ends of the belt. The belt should be snug butcomfortable.To Lengthen the Belt.1.With the belt unfastened, move the anticreepslide toward the buckle.2.To remove the slack in the outer loop, rotate thebuckle to free the lock bar. This permits the belt to movethrough the buckle.3.Pull on the buckle until the outer and inner loopsare tight.35
