TM 5-3805-263-14&P-1 Starting the Engine Starting Receptacle The machine is equipped with an emergency starting receptacle. Use boos cables with a plug that will mate with the receptacle. 1. Turn the disconnect switch OFF and remove the key. 2. Attach the power source end of the cable to the external starting source first. Insert the plug in the receptacle of the machine to be started. 3. Insert the key and turn the disconnect switch ON. 4. start the engine. After the engine starts, remove the plug of the jumper cable from the receptacle. 42
