TM 5-3805-263-14&P-1Before Starting the Engine4.With the engine running, depress the control rodlever of the hydraulic unloading valve. The steeringindicator fault light and fault alarm should go ON. Themotor indicator should stay OFF.5.With the engine running, move and hold thesupplemental steering switch 1 on the control consoleto MANUAL. The motor indicator 2 should go ON. Themachine should steer normally. The steering indicatorfault light 3 should stay off.6.With the engine at low idle, the transmissionmodulator pedal depressed and the transmission controlin the highest gear, release the transmission modulatorpedal to stall the engine. The steering indicator fault light3 and the motor indicator 2 should go ON. The machineshould steer normally. Pull the accelerator pedal up tothe engine shut- off position. The motor indicator 2should go OFF, the steering indicator 3 and fault lightshould stay ON.Seat BeltReplace the seat belt or mounting hardware if they aredamaged or Worn. Replace the belt at least every threeyears.Adjust and fasten the seat belt beforeoperating the machine.Inspect for worn or frayed webbing. Check for worn ordamaged buckle or anticreep slide, on each half of thebelt. Replace the belt, buckle or slides if they are worn ordamaged.Inspect the belt mounting hardware. Replace any wornor damaged hardware.34
