TM 5-3805-263-14&P-1REASSEMBLYReassembly must be accomplished on a firm, levelsurface. All loose parts, tools, jumper lines, jack screws,etc. can be found in the tool box located on the frontdraw bar. The pivot pins, bolts, clamps, etc., may havebeen reinstalled on the frames. Remove the plasticcovering on the pivot pins and bores. Two men arerequired for this operation.1.Remove the two bolts and straps securing theremote control box to the front frame. Removeand store its cover in the operator’scompartment. Remove remote control assemblyfrom the front frame.2.Slide the arm of the remote control assemblyinto the bracket next to the left battery box.Connect the hoses and wiring harness to theconnection panel on the left frame rail. Routethe mechanical push/pull cables through thebattery box mounting bracket toward the front ofthe rear frame. Use the identification tags toconnect the cables.NOTEThe control levers may have to be adjustedto make the cable connections. Ifnecessary, use the cable extractor tool5R7047 to extend the cables.3.Engage the emergency brake, shift thetransmission to "NEUTRAL" and disengage theclutch.4.Start the engine and move the rear frame towithin three (3) feet of the front frame, aligningthe articulation joint as close as possible. SeeDriving The Rear Frame for proper drivingprocedures.5.Disengage the clutch, set the emergency brake,stop the engine and shift the transmission to"NEUTRAL."6.Install the jacks on the back of the rear frame.Remove the links from the tandems on bothsides of the frame and store the links in the toolbox. Tighten the link caps securely.108
