Run until normaloperating temperature is reached.See warning. If engine runs outof control, place steel plateover air inlet of turbocharger ifgovernor control lever (5, Figure3-107) won’t shut engine off.LOW IDLE ADJUSTMENT1.Position governor control lever(5) in low idle.2.Loosen lock nut (16, Figure3-108).3.Using accurate tachometer, adjustlow idle screw (17). Attach totachometer drive at rear ofgovernor, adjust low idle to 800rpm.4.Increase engine speed and returnto low idle. Check low idlespeed again with tachometer.5.Tighten lock nut (16).6.Stop engine.HIGH IDLE ADJUSTMENT1.Remove two bolts (18), cover (19)and gasket (20, Figure 3-108)from rear governor.
