Remove two bolts (9), cover (10)and gasket (11, Figure 3-106)from rear governor housing.Discard gasket (11). Remove allgasket material from mountingsurfaces.21. Using rack adjustment tool,loosen lock nut (12).22. Using rack adjustment tool,adjust screw (13). Turn screwclockwise to decrease the staticfuel setting. One half turn ofthe setscrew will change readingon dial indicator approximately0.016 inch. Turn until readingof 0.056 inch is obtained.NOTEIt may be necessary to makean adjustment to torque riseby loosening lock nut (14)and adjusting screw (15) toobtain proper adjustment ofpower adjustment screw (13).23. Tighten lock nut (12).24. Install new gasket (11), cover(10) and two bolts (9). Removeindicator bracket tooling fromfuel injection pump.Go to Sheet 63-139
