Perform voltage drop test on starting

motor-to-solenoid connector.
Operate; Engine Cranks
Slowly - Continued.
a. Connect meter negative lead to
positive terminal on starting motor
and meter positive lead to MTR
terminal on solenoid.
b. Crank engine and observe meter.
If voltage reading exceeds 0.1 volt, place
battery disconnect switch in OFF position
and clean and tighten starting motor-to-
solenoid connections. Replace if broken.
If the problem still exists, go to Test 5.

contactors.
a. Connect meter positive lead to
solenoid BAT terminal and meter
negative lead to solenoid MTR
terminal.
