Refer to Chapter 2.INSTALLATION1.Position and install solenoid (13) shaft intostarting motor (14, Figure 7-23) leverhousing.2.Install four washers (12), lockwashers (11)and screws (10).3.Using fabricated adapter tool, install newlock nut (9). Do not tighten lock nut (9).4.Install screw (6, Figure 7-22).5.Position wire assembly (5) and install screw(4).6.Install connector (3), two lockwashers (2)and nuts (1). Tighten two nuts (1) to 22 ft-lbtorque.ADJUSTMENT1.Measure pinion clearance on starting motor(14). Connect starting motor (14, Figure 7-24) to 12-volt battery.
