Test Step 2. Measure Current Sent to Starting Motor Solenoid from Positive Post of Battery.

1. Check battery cable connections at battery (Figure 2, Item 1) for corrosion or loose connections. Clean or
tighten connections.
2. Position boots (Figure 2, Item 3) aside and check connections at junction point (Figure 2, Item 2) for corrosion
or loose connections. Clean or tighten connections.
3. Check starter positive cable (Figure 2, Item 6) connection point at the solenoid for corrosion or loose
connections. Clean or tighten connections.
4. Check starter (Figure 2, Item 5) negative cable connection point (Figure 2, Item 4) for corrosion or loose
connections. Clean or tighten connections.
