Always inspect the harness connectorsthat are involved in the circuit.
Poor connections can often be the cause of a problem in an electrical
circuit. Verify that all connections in the circuit are clean and secure,
and that all connections are in good condition. If a problem with a con-
nection is found, correct the problem and verify that this diagnostic code
is Active before performing this procedure.
Perform open or short circuit test ateach harness connection to identify
correct harness to replace.
Perform this test only if condition is active.
Test Step 1. Verify if Code 0627-03
is Active.
1. Connect MSD (WP 0006). Select
0627-03 Code Active - Proceed to
Trans/Chassis 120M and verify
Test Step 2.
0627-03 is active.
0627-03 Code Not Active - Trouble-
shooting complete.
Test Step 2. Test Park Brake Pres-
sure Switch Circuits.
1. Disconnect harness connector
FA-C20 (WP 0009, Figure 113)
from transmission ECM J1 (WP
0009, Figure 112) (WP 0137).
2. Disconnect rear chassis harness
connector FA-C28 (WP 0009, Fig-
ure 129) from transmission wiring
harness connector T-C1 (WP
0009, Figure 130) (WP 0158).
3. Install a jumper wire between har-
ness connector FA-C28 (WP
0009, Figure 129) terminal 1 and
terminal 4.
4. Using digital multimeter, test for
Resistance 5.0 Ohms or Less - Pro-
continuity between harness con-
ceed to step 5.

Replace rear chassis wiring harness
Resistance should be less than
(WP 0188).
