All Wheel Drive 120M and verify
bleshooting code from the beginning.
2298-05 is not active.
2298-05 Code Not Active - Trouble-
shooting complete.
Test Step 2. Test for Open Pump
Drive Solenoid Harness.
1. Turn ignition switch and battery
disconnect switch to the OFF
position.
2. Remove jumper wire from AX-C4
terminal 1 and terminal 2 (WP
0009, Figure 108).
3. Disconnect filter bypass, pump
drive solenoid AX-C1 harness
connector (WP 0009, Figure 100)
from pump drive solenoid AC-C1
harness connector (WP 0009,
Figure 101).
4. Connect jumper wire between
AX-C1 terminal 5 and AX-C1 ter-
minal 3 (WP 0009, Figure 100).
5. Turn battery disconnect switch
and ignition switch to the ON posi-
tion.
6. Check for Active code 2298-05 or
Code 2298-05 Remains Active - Pro-
2298-06 in All Wheel Drive 120M
ceed to Test Step 3.
ECM (WP 0006).
Code 2298-05 Becomes Inactive
and 2298-06 Becomes Active -
Remove jumper wire from AX-C1 ter-
minal 5 and terminal 3 (WP 0009, Fig-
ure 100).
Replace pump drive solenoid har-
ness (WP 0201).
Proceed to step 7.
