Test Step 4. Test for Open Rear
Chassis Wiring Harness.
1. Turn ignition switch and battery
disconnect switch to the OFF
position.
2. Remove jumper wire from FA-C37
terminal 5 and terminal 3 (WP
0009, Figure 79).
3. Disconnect rear chassis wiring
FA-C23 harness connector (WP
0009, Figure 17) from cab lower
wiring P-C71 harness connector
(WP 0009, Figure 18) (WP 0188).
4. Connect jumper wire between P-
C71 terminal 18 and P-C71 termi-
nal 12 (WP 0009, Figure 18).
5. Turn battery disconnect switch
and ignition switch to the ON posi-
tion.
6. Check for Active code 2298-05 or
Code 2298-05 Remains Active - Pro-
2298-06 in All Wheel Drive 120M
ceed to Test Step 5.
ECM (WP 0006).
Code 2298-05 Becomes Inactive
and 2298-06 Becomes Active -
Remove jumper wire from P-C71 ter-
minal 18 and terminal 12 (WP 0009,
Figure 18).
Replace rear chassis wiring harness
(WP 0188).
Connect AX-C1 (WP 0009, Figure
100) on AC-C1 (WP 0009, Figure
101).
Connect AX-C4 (WP 0009, Figure
108) on right drive pump reverse sole-
noid connector (WP 0009, Figure 109)
and close access door.
Install front engine enclosure access
panel (WP 0226).
Proceed to step 7.
