1. Turn ignition switch and battery

2. Disconnect rear chassis wiring
FA-C35 harness connector (WP
0009, Figure 15) from cab lower
wiring P-C70 harness connector
(WP 0009, Figure 16) (WP 0188).
3. Disconnect rear chassis wiring
FA-C23 harness connector (WP
0009, Figure 17) from cab lower
wiring P-C71 harness connector
(WP 0009, Figure 18) (WP 0188).
4. Turn battery disconnect switch
and ignition switch to the ON posi-
tion.
5. Check for Active code 2298-03 or
Code 2298-03 Remains Active - Pro-
2298-05 in All Wheel Drive 120M
ceed to Test Step 4.
ECM (WP 0006).
Code 2298-03 Becomes Inactive
and 2298-05 Becomes Active -
Replace rear chassis wiring harness
(WP 0188).
Connect AX-C1 (WP 0009, Figure
100) on AC-C1 (WP 0009, Figure
101) and close access door.
Install front engine enclosure access
panel (WP 0226).
Proceed to step 6.
6. Using the MSD (WP 0006), select
2298-03 Code Active - Repeat trou-
All Wheel Drive 120M and verify
bleshooting code from the beginning.
2298-03 is not active.
2298-03 Code Not Active - Trouble-
shooting complete.
Test Step 4. Test Right Front Drive
Pump Reverse Control Solenoid
Circuit for Short to Other Circuits in
Cab Lower Wiring Harness.
1. Turn ignition switch and battery
disconnect switch to the OFF
position.
