REMOVE BLADE ASSEMBLY

Ratchet Assembly

start by:
a) remove blade tip cylinder.
1.
Disc6nnect the oil lines for the blade sideshift
cylinder from the swivel joint.
2.
Install two 1/2"-13 NC forged eyebolts in the blade.
Fasten a hoist to the eyebolts.
3.
Remove the locking pins from nuts (2) on each side
of the circle. Remove nuts (2) and (3) from the
studs and brackets (1).
4.
Install tool (A) on bracket (1) on the left side as
shown. Remove the nut and bolt (5). Remove pin
(4) that holds the blade sideshift cylinder to bracket
(1). Pull bracket (1) away from the circle with tool
(A). Pull bracket (1) on the right side of the circle
away with tool (A).
5.
Remove bolts (7) and the lockwashers that hold
bracket (6) to the blade assembly.
6.
Remove bracket (6) and the shims from the blade
assembly.
7.
Lift the circle (8) away from the blade assembly.
8.
Lower blade assembly (9) to the ground. Remove
blade assembly from under the machine. Weight is
1900 lb. (860 kg).
