The maintenanceprocedure for the left wheelspindle, bearings and sealsis identical.1.Remove two bolts (1) and cover(2, Figure 5-84) from right sideof front axle.2.Remove and discard preformedpacking (3).3.Remove three bolts (4), retainer(5) and shim(s) (6). Tie shim(s)6) together and tag for identi-fication.4.Loosen bolt (18) and nut (19).5.Position forks of jack group onthreads of bolt (18) at center ofwheel lean arm. Position otherend of jack group against wheelspindle (11).6.Remove items 7 thru 11 as anassembly from housing (17, Figure5-85) by tightening nut on jackgroup.7.Tighten bolt (18) and nut (19).8.Remove and separate ring (7) andseal (8) from spindle (11, Figure5-86). Be careful not to damage.9.Using suitable puller, removebearing (9) from spindle (11).10.Remove ten studs (10) and spindle(11).5-69Figure 5-84.Figure 5-85.
