TM 5-3805-261-34 FRONT AXLE MAINTENANCE. 5-14. Steering Arms and Tie Rod. (Sheet 6 of 10) REMOVAL 26. Remove items 28 thru 37 as an assembly (Figure 5-78). 27. Remove hoist and sling. 28. Remove washers (28, 29 and 30, Figure 5-79). 29. Remove seal (31), preformed packing (32) and seal (33). Discard preformed packing (32). 30. Remove plug (34), gasket (35) and plug (36) from housing (37). 31. Remove lock nut (38), bolt (39) and clamp (40, Figure 5-80). 32. Remove socket assembly (41) from steering tie rod (42). CLEANING Clean all parts. Refer to Chapter 2. INSPECTION Inspect all parts. Refer to Chapter 2. Figure 5-80. Go to Sheet 7 5-63
