Battery voltage is provided from the 20 amp Trans Control Breaker. The battery voltage supply circuit 150-RD
supplies the following:
Engine ECM harness connector FA-C17 terminal 7
Engine ECM harness connector FA-C17 terminal 8
Engine ECM harness connector FA-C17 terminal 15
Engine ECM harness connector FA-C17 terminal 16
Fuel prime pump relay harness connector FE-C4 terminal 1
Fuel prime pump relay harness connector FE-C4 terminal 5
The engine ECM uses the fuel prime pump relay control circuit 365-YL, which is at engine ECM harness connector
FA-C17 terminal 64 and controls the fuel prime pump relay at fuel prime pump relay harness connector FE-C4. The
fuel prime pump relay provides voltage from the relay harness connector FE-C4 terminal 4 to the fuel prime pump
supply circuit A893-OR at the fuel prime pump harness connector FE-C4 terminal 1. The ground circuit 220-BK for
the fuel prime pump is provided between the fuel prime pump harness connector FE-C4 terminal 2 and frame
ground.
At ignition, the engine ECM will activate the fuel prime pump relay for up to three minutes. The engine ECM only
monitors the fuel prime pump relay control circuit. This test will diagnose the switched side of the fuel prime pump
relay and fuel prime pump only. The coil/control side of the fuel prime pump relay is diagnosed in Engine
Troubleshooting (WP 0011).
