Always inspect the harness connectorsthat are involved in the circuit.
Poor connections can often be the cause of a problem in an electrical
circuit. Verify that all connections in the circuit are clean and secure,
and that all connections are in good condition. If a problem with a con-
nection is found, correct the problem and verify that this diagnostic code
is Active before performing this procedure.
Perform open or short circuit test ateach harness connection to identify
correct harness to replace.
Perform this test only if condition is Active.
Test Step 1. Verify 2954-14 code is
active.
N OT E
Other diagnostic codes will be set with this along with this code. Monitor
and record all active diagnostic codes. When this diagnostic code is
repaired the other diagnostic codes must be repaired before returning
machine to service.
2954-14 Code Active - Proceed to
1. Connect MSD (WP 0006), select
Test Step 2.
Implement Control 120M and
check for Active code 2954-14.
2954-14 Code Not Active -
Troubleshooting complete.
Test Step 2. Test Rear Chassis Wir-
ing Harness For An Open.
1. Turn ignition switch and battery
disconnect switch to the OFF
position (TM 5-3805-293-10).
2. Remove rear bulkhead cover
plate (WP 0266).
3. Disconnect harness connector
FA-C23 (WP 0009, Figure 17)
from harness connector P-C71
(WP 0009, Figure 18) (WP 0188).
