(AWD) Control Dial Position
All-Wheel Drive (AWD) Electronic
Control Module (ECM) will log a diag-
nostic code and a warning will appear
on the messenger while the diagnos-
tic code is Active.
N OT E
Always inspect the harness connectorsthat are involved in the circuit.
Poor connections can often be the cause of a problem in an electrical
circuit. Verify that all connections in the circuit are clean and secure,
and that all connections are in good condition. If a problem with a
connection is found, correct the problem and verify that this diagnostic
code is Active before performing this procedure.
Perform open or short circuit test ateach harness connection to identify
correct harness to replace.
Perform this test only if condition is Active.
Test Step 1. Check for Other Active
Codes in All Wheel Drive 120M
ECM.
All Wheel Drive 120M and verify
2194-13 is active.
2. Check for Active code 2194-03,
Code 2194-03 Active - Diagnose and
2194-04, or 2194-08 in All Wheel
repair code 2194-03 as described in
this work package.
Code 2194-04 Active - Diagnose and
repair code 2194-04 as described in
this work package.
Code 2194-08 Active - Diagnose and
repair code 2194-08 as described in
this work package.
Code 2194-03, 2194-04, 2194-08 Not
Active - Proceed to Test Step 2.
Test Step 2. Calibrate All Wheel
Drive (AWD) Control Dial Position
Sensor.
1. Position AWD switch to the OFF
Position.
2. Perform All Wheel Drive Control
