Remove jumper wire from AF-C8 ter-
minal 1 and terminal 2 (WP 0009, Fig-
ure 82).
Replace left AWD clutch reverse sole-
noid (WP 0248).
Proceed to step 8.
8. Using the MSD (WP 0006), select
2189-05 Code Active - Repeat trou-
bleshooting code from the beginning.
All Wheel Drive 120M and verify
2189-05 is not active.
2189-05 Code Not Active - Trouble-
shooting complete.
Test Step 2. Test for Open Clutch
Drive Solenoid Harness.
1. Turn ignition switch and battery
disconnect switch to the OFF
position.
2. Remove jumper wire from AF-C8
terminal 1 and terminal 2 (WP
0009, Figure 82).
3. Remove rear front frame cover
from machine (WP 0224).
4. Disconnect clutch drive solenoid
AF-C3 harness connector (WP
0009, Figure 51) from cab lower
wiring P-C34 harness connector
(WP 0009, Figure 52) (WP 0200).
5. Connect jumper wire between P-
C34 terminal 5 and P-C34 termi-
nal 22 (WP 0009, Figure 52).
6. Turn battery disconnect switch
and ignition switch to the ON posi-
tion.
7. Check for Active code 2189-05 or
Code 2189-05 Remains Active - Pro-
2189-06 in All Wheel Drive 120M
ceed to Test Step 3.
ECM (WP 0006).
Code 2189-05 Becomes Inactive
and 2189-06 Becomes Active -
Remove jumper wire from P-C34 ter-
minal 5 and terminal 22 (WP 0009,
Figure 52).
Replace clutch drive solenoid harness
(WP 0224).
Proceed to step 8.
