Engine will remain at low idle
while diagnostic code is active.
Throttle inputs are ignored by
ECM until fault is repaired.
Throttle inputs will also be ignored
by ECM until keyswitch has been
turned to OFF position and back
to ON position.

The 8-Volt supply circuit is a common supply circuit which is bussed
internally of the Engine ECM. Out put of the 8-Volt supply circuit is at
Engine ECM J1-43 and J2-10. The 8-Volt supply circuit 996-GN is
spliced externally of the Engine ECM from J2-10 and is supplied to the
engine speed sensor and the secondary engine (Cam) speed sensor
(on the fuel injection pump). The 8-Volt supply circuit J844-GY is sup-
plied to the throttle position sensor from the Engine ECM from J1-43.
Test Step 1. Test 8-Volt Supply and
Signal.

Always inspect the harness connectorsthat are involved in the circuit.
Poor connections can often be the cause of a problem in an electrical
circuit. Verify that all connections in the circuit are clean and secure,
and that all connections are in good condition. If a problem with a
connection is found, correct the problem and verify that this diagnostic
code is active before performing this procedure.
Perform open or short circuit test ateach harness connection to identify
correct harness to replace.
Perform this test only if condition is active.
Engine ECM C6.6 120M and ver-
ify 0091-08 is active.
2. Turn ignition switch to the OFF
position.
3. Remove pedal assembly cover
(WP 0288).

the throttle position sensor.
5. Turn ignition switch to the ON
position.
