POWER TRAINTM 5-3805-263-14&P-2DISASSEMBLY AND ASSEMBLYTRANSMISSION OIL AND SCAVENGE PUMPINSTALL TRANSMISSION OIL ANDSCAVENGE PUMP1.2.3.4.5.6.7.8.9.10.2-68Put transmission oil and scavenge pump (1)in position on a block and a floor jack.Lift the oil pump to the correct height withthe floor jack. Put the splines on the oilpump shaft (2) in alignment with thecoupling on the transmission.Install the bolts and the lockwashers thathold the oil pump to the transmission.Remove the block and the floor jack.Put four oil lines (4) in position on thetransmission and the oil pump.Install the bolts (3) and the washers thathold the oil lines to the oil pump.Install bolts (5) and the washers that holdthe oil lines to the transmission.Put plate (8) in position on the radiatorguard. Install bolts (6) that hold it.Put fan belts (9) in position on the alterna-tor pulley. Move the alternator until there is1/2 in. (12.7 mm) movement of the beltswhen a 25 lb. (11.3 kg) force is put on thebe1ts.Tighten bolts (7) that hold the alternator.
