Machine has no primary steering; supplemental
steering system OK.

Motor status light OFF but motor and pump runs
whenever engine is running; motor status light is
OK.

Supplemental steering system operating okay, but
hydraulic system overheating.

Steering effort is different between primary steer-
ing system and supplemental system.
If no electrical problem symptom was found in the Electrical System Troubleshooting (Supplemental
Steering), do the following:
PROBLEM 1
SYMPTOMS:
Machine has supplemental steering, but no primary steering.
Possible Causes:
A.
Check valve (mounted on combination valve) failed closed or is installed
backwards.
Troubleshooting:
a)
Arrow on valve body must point toward front of machine. If oriented properly,
check for free flow in direction of arrow and for blocked flow in direction
opposite to arrow.
PROBLEM 2
SYMPTOMS:
Motor status light OFF, but supplemental steering motor and pump runs when
engine is running. (Motor status light is working properly.)
Possible Causes:
A.
Check valve that is clipped under the operator's platform (left hand side of
machine) is bad or installed backwards.
Troubleshooting:
a)
Arrow on valve body must point toward front of machine. If installed in the
correct direction, check for free flow in direction of arrow and for blocked flow in
direction opposite to arrow.
