engine starts; EMS master fault light and warning
horn is ON when engine running; supplemental
steering motor status light and motor are ON when
engine is running.

Supplemental steering motor status light is ON and
motor runs when dump valve pedal is depressed
when engine is running; EMS steering LED and
master fault light FLASHES and warning horn
goes ON.

Supplemental steering motor status light ON and
motor runs after engine stops; EMS steering LED
FLASHES and EMS master fault light is ON.

Supplemental steering motor status light does not
turn ON and pump motor does not run when
Automatic/Manual switch is put in the Manual
position.
I. THREE SECOND POWER UP TEST IS NOT OK.
PROBLEM 1
SYMPTOMS:
System Is dead; lights, horn, and starter does not operate.
Possible Causes:
A. Disconnect switch in OFF position.
B. Battery dead.
Troubleshooting:
a) Turn disconnect switch ON.
b) Charge or replace battery.
PROBLEM 2
SYMPTOMS:
EMS steering LED and master fault light FLASHES until
engine starts, then goes OFF; but motor status light does
not light and motor does not run.
Possible Causes:
A. Failure of steering pressure switch contacts in closed
position.
B. Steering pressure switch harness wire shorted to ground
between switch and electronic control module.
C. No voltage to electronic control module as measured at
receptacle Y between socket 1 and socket 8.
