Refer to test procedures inthis paragraph.35. Inspect three terminals (69) on stator (72, Figure4-10).36. Inspect grommet (70) and insulator (71).Replace if cracked, broken or deteriorated.37. Remove three terminals (69), grommet (70) andinsulator (71) from stator (72), if necessary. Donot cut three terminals (69) off from wires.38. Remove three screws (73).39. Push grommet (74) from mounting hole inhousing (80). Do not damage grommet (74).40. Remove grommet (74) and field coil (75) as anassembly from housing (80).41. Using suitable driver and hammer, remove anddiscard plug (76).42. Using suitable driver and hammer, remove anddiscard bearing (77).CAUTIONRemoval of bushing from housing will causedestruction of bushing. Remove bushing only ifinspection indicates replacement is necessary.43. Inspect bushing (78). Replace if cracked, brokenor worn.Figure 4-10.Go to Sheet 94-12
