WARNING
Ether fuel is extremely flammable and toxic. DO NOT smoke and make sure you are
in a well-ventilated area away from heat, open flames, or sparks. Wear eye protection.
Avoid contact with skin and eyes and avoid breathing ether fumes. If fluid enters or
fumes irritate the eyes, wash immediately with large quantities of clean water for 15
minutes. Seek medical attention immediately if ether is inhaled or causes eye irritation.
Failure to follow this warning may cause injury or death to personnel.

Check ether canister. Remove ether
1. If canister is empty, replace with a full
canister. Shake and listen for liquid
splashing inside canister.
2. If canister is full, reinstall and go to
Test 2.

Check for a blown starting aid fuse.
Replace blown fuse with same rated fuse
go to Test 3.

Check starting aid valve operation.
a. Place battery disconnect switch in
OFF position.
b. Disconnect temperature switch
lead from starting aid valve.
c. Connect a jumper wire between
temperature switch lead on valve
and chassis ground.
