Pull starting motor (22) backand turn solenoid to right to clear solenoidof turbocharger oil line. Discard gasket (23)and remove all gasket material frommounting surfaces.CLEANINGClean all parts. Refer to Chapter 2.INSPECTIONInspect all parts. Refer to Chapter 2.INSTALLATION1.Position new gasket (23) and starting motor(22, Figure 7-20) on flywheel housing inright side of engine.2.Install clip (21), three washers (20) andbolts (19, Figure 7-19).3.Position wire assemblies (17, 16 and 15) onterminal stud (18) in starting motor solenoid.4.Install lockwasher (14) and nut (13).Tighten nut (13) to 22 ft-lb torque.Figure 7-20.Go to Sheet 47-39
