The Arctic Kit Installation and Maintenance Instructions chapter consists of an Arctic Kit Introduction;
Unpacking, Inspection and Parts List; Arctic Kit Troubleshooting Procedures; Arctic Kit Installation Instructions;
and Field Maintenance procedures for the arctic kit. Follow these procedures to install and maintain the 120M
Motor Grader Arctic Kit.

1. This chapter provides installation preparation, instructions and maintenance for the arctic kit for the 120M
Motor Grader.
2. The information contained in this chapter is the official authorization to perform the installation of the arctic kit
at the field maintenance level.
ARCTIC KIT

The arctic kit includes a diesel-fired arctic heater, mounted on the left-rear of the machine, and two additional
batteries, mounted on the rear of the machine. The arctic kit is to be installed on a machine that operates in
extremely cold weather, from 25F to -40F (-4C to -40C).
