1. Inspect condition of crate before opening. Look for any damage. Ensure the correct end is up and the skids of
the crate are in good order. If ANY appearance of damage exists, report this immediately to a supervisor. This
is imperative to maintaining proper quality control of your arctic kit.

2. Report any shipping damage on SF Form 364 Report of Discrepancy (ROD) as prescribed in Reporting of
Supply Discrepancies (AR 735-11-2).
WARN I N G
Use extreme caution when handling heavy parts. Provide adequate support and use
assistance during procedure. Ensure any lifting device used is in good condition and of
suitable load capacity. Keep clear of heavy parts supported only by lifting device. Failure to
follow these warnings may result in injury or death to personnel.
