8. Remove cotter pin (Figure 3, Item 1), pin (Figure 3, Item 3), and washers (Figure 3, Item 2) from machine.
Discard cotter pin.

Use extreme caution when handling heavy parts. Provide adequate support and use
assistance during procedure. Ensure any lifting device used is in good condition and of
suitable load capacity. Keep clear of heavy parts supported only by lifting device. Failure to
follow this warning may cause injury or death to personnel.
N OT E
Sideshift cylinder weighs 200 lb (91 kg).
9. Attach sling and lifting device to sideshift cylinder.
10. Using lifting device, remove sideshift cylinder from machine and lower onto a flat surface.
11. Remove lifting device and sling from sideshift cylinder.
