Keep high-side valve closed on manifold gauge set while charging the A/C system.
8. Slowly open low-side valve (Figure 3, Item 3) on manifold gauge set.
9. Continue charging until high-side/low-side pressures are within acceptable ranges.
10. Close refrigerant tank valve (Figure 3, Item 1) on R134a refrigerant tank (Figure 3, Item 6).
11. Close manifold gauge set low-side valve (Figure 3, Item 3).
12. Shut off engine (TM 5-3805-293-10).
13. Disconnect charging hose (Figure 3, Item 2) from R134a refrigerant tank valve (Figure 3, Item 1).
14. Disconnect manifold gauge set low-side hose (Figure 3, Item 5) from suction (low) side of A/C compressor.
15. Disconnect manifold gauge set high-side hose (Figure 3, Item 4) from discharge (high) side of A/C
16. Operate A/C system to verify correct operation (TM 5-3805-293-10).
