5. Attach charging hose (Figure 1, Item 7) to recovery station inlet (Figure 1, Item 2).
N OT E
One valve is for vapor and the other valve is for liquid.
6. Ensure valves on refrigerant recovery tank (Figure 1, Item 1) are open.
7. Follow recovery station original equipment manufacturer (OEM) instructions and recover R134a refrigerant.

Moisture will combine with metals in the refrigerant system andthis will produce highly
corrosive by-products. The by-products are oxides, iron hydroxide, and aluminum
hydroxide, and they will damage the A/C system.
Moisture in the A/C system can freeze anddamage the expansion valve and orifice tube.
If there is water in the system, the water must be removed.
Failure to follow these cautions could cause damage to equipment.
