Use extreme caution when handling heavy parts. Provide adequate support and use
assistance during procedure. Ensure any lifting device used is in good condition and of
suitable load capacity. Keep clear of heavy parts supported only by lifting device. Failure to
follow this warning may cause injury or death to personnel.
N OT E
Rear valve bank weighs approximately 160 lb (73 kg).
Use mounting bolt from front cover to attach lifting link bracket to rear valve bank.
23. Install lifting link bracket (Figure 6, Item 3), washer (Figure 6, Item 5), and bolt (Figure 6, Item 4) on rear valve
bank (Figure 6, Item 6).
N OT E
Remove paint from stud prior to removing nut.
24. Remove nut (Figure 6, Item 8) and washer (Figure 6, Item 9) from rear valve bank (Figure 6, Item 6).
25. Install lifting link bracket (Figure 6, Item 7), washer (Figure 6, Item 9) and nut (Figure 6, Item 8) on rear valve
bank (Figure 6, Item 6).
26. Attach sling and lifting device to rear valve bank (Figure 6, Item 6).
27. Remove four bolts (Figure 6, Item 1) and washers (Figure 6, Item 2) from rear valve bank (Figure 6, Item 6).
28. Using lifting device, remove rear valve bank (Figure 6, Item 6) from bracket (Figure 6, Item 10). Lower rear
valve bank onto flat surface.
29. Remove sling and lifting device from rear valve bank (Figure 6, Item 6).
30. Remove bolt (Figure 6, Item 4), washer (Figure 6, Item 5) and lifting link bracket (Figure 6, Item 3) from rear
valve bank (Figure 6, Item 6).
