22. Remove and discard cylinder head gasket (Figure 10, Item 1) from cylinder block (Figure 10, Item 2).

If replacing cylinder head, perform the following steps.
1. Remove fitting (Figure 11, Item 5) from cylinder head (Figure 11, Item 1).
2. Remove coolant temperature sensor (Figure 11, Item 3) and O-ring (Figure 11, Item 4) from cylinder head
(Figure 11, Item 1). Discard O-ring.
3. Remove six glow plug hole plugs (Figure 11, Item 2) from cylinder head (Figure 11, Item 1).
