C AU T I O N
Install valve bridges in original positionand orientation as marked during removal.
Failure to ensure all valvebridges are correctly seated onto the valve stems will cause
interference between the pistons and valves, resulting in damage to the engine.
1. Lubricate valve bridges (Figure 1, Item 5) with clean engine oil and install on cylinder head (Figure 1, Item 3) in
original location and orientation.
C AU T I O N
Install pushrods with cup facing upward. Ensure the ball end is correctly seated in the
valve lifter.
Install push rods in locations marked during removal.
Failure to follow these cautions ma result in damage to equipment.

2. Lubricate pushrod ends with clean engine oil and install pushrods (Figure 1, Item 4) on cylinder head (Figure 1,
Item 3) in original locations. Ensure ball end is correctly seated in valve lifter.
C AU T I O N
When positioning the rocker shaft assembly, the retaining clip at the end of the shaft
should face toward the front of the engine. Failure to follow this caution may result in
damage to equipment.
N OT E
Ensure adjustment screws are properly seated in cup ends of pushrods.
3. Position rocker shaft assembly (Figure 1, Item 2) on cylinder head (Figure 1, Item 3).
4. Install torx screws (Figure 1, Item 1) on rocker shaft (Figure 1, Item 2). Hand tighten only.
5. Progressively torque rocker arm torx screws (Figure 1, Item 1) 1/2 turn at a time, working from center of rocker
shaft assembly (Figure 1, Item 2) toward ends. Torque screws to 26 lb-ft (35 Nm).

1. Perform engine valve lash inspect/adjust (WP 0032).
2. Install valve mechanism cover (WP 0103).
