15. Install positive alternator cable (Figure 14, Item 10) on alternator (Figure 14, Item 8).
16. Install washer (Figure 14, Item 6), new lockwasher (Figure 14, Item 7), and nut (Figure 14, Item 9) on positive
alternator cable (Figure 14, Item 10).
17. Position boot (Figure 14, Item 11) on nut (Figure 14, Item 9).
18. Install negative alternator cable (Figure 14, Item 2), new lockwasher (Figure 14, Item 3), washer (Figure 1,
Item 5), and bolt (Figure 14, Item 4) on alternator (Figure 14, Item 8).
19. Position boot (Figure 14, Item 1) on nut (Figure 14, Item 4).

2. Connect battery cables (WP 0194).
3. Turn battery disconnect switch to ON position and start engine (TM 5-3805-293-10).
