Hydraulic fan will be in operation. Use eye protection, gloves, and hearing protection
during this procedure. Failure to follow this warning may result in injury to personnel.
13. Direct the indicator point set (from tachometer kit) toward reflective tape on fan blade through fan guard.
14. Observe and record fan speed using indicator point set. Speed should be between 600 rpm and 1,400 rpm.
a. If fan speed is not within specified range, perform Fan Speed Calibration Procedure in this work package.
b. If fan speed is within specified range, fan operation is OK. Proceed to step 15.
15. Turn ignition switch and battery disconnect switch to the OFF position (TM 5-3805-293-10).
16. Remove test equipment.
17. If machine is equipped with arctic heater, install battery box (WP 0335).

1. Select Engine ECM (C6.6 120M).
2. Select Service menu (Figure 12, Item 1), Calibrations (Figure 12, Item 2), and Engine Cooling Fan Calibration
option (Figure 12, Item 3) to begin calibration procedure.
