2304-03 Differential Lock
System Response:
Relay Voltage Above Normal ECM will log a diagnostic code.
N OT E
Always inspect the harness connectorsthat are involved in the circuit.
Poor connections can often be the cause of a problem in an electrical
circuit. Verify that all connections in the circuit are clean and secure,
and that all connections are in good condition. If a problem with a con-
nection is found, correct the problem and verify that this diagnostic code
is Active before performing this procedure.
Perform open or short circuit test ateach harness connection to identify
correct harness to replace.
Perform this test only if condition is active.
Test Step 1. Verify if Code 2304-03
is Active.
1. Connect MSD (WP 0006). Select
2304-03 Code Active - Proceed to
Trans/Chassis 120M and verify
Test Step 2.
2304-03 is active for the
2304-03 Code Not Active - Trouble-
transmission ECM or the
shooting complete.
Implement 1 ECM.
Test Step 2. Test for Faulty Differen-
tial Lock Relay.
1. Turn ignition switch and battery
disconnect switch to the OFF
position (TM 5-3805-293-10).
2. Remove the differential lock relay
(WP 0009, Figure 200) from dif-
ferential lock relay socket (WP
0009, Figure 199).
3. Using digital multimeter, measure
