POWER TRAIN TM 5-3805-263-14&P-2 DRIVE CHAINS REMOVE DRIVE CHAINS Tools Needed A 8B7554 Puller Assembly 1 7S7786 Leg 2 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. start by: a) remove rear wheels b) remove axles Drain the oil from the tandem housing. Remove bolts (1) and cover (2) from the top of the tandem housing. Remove bolts (3) and cover (4) from each side of the tandem housing. Turn the wheel spindle until the master link of the chain is at the openings. Remove cotter pins (5) from the master link. Install tooling (A) on the master link as shown. 6. Remove master link bar (6). 7. Remove the master link and tooling (A). 8. 9. Turn the wheel spindle counterclockwise while pulling drive chain (7) out of the tandem housing. Weight of the drive chain is 50 lb. (23 kg). Do Steps 1 through 8 for the other drive chains. DISASSEMBLY AND ASSEMBLY 2-44
