TM 5-3805-261-34 BRAKES MAINTENANCE. (cont) 6-8. Air Brake Control. (Sheet 2 of 4) REMOVAL 1. Remove two bolts (1), washers (2), thread (3). washer (4) and boot (5, Figure 6-14) from right side of cab floor. 2. Remove setscrew (6) and nut (7) from base. 3. Remove spring (8), nut (9), bolt (10) and nut (11, Figure 6-15) under right side of cab floor. 4. Remove nut (12), bolt (13) and nut (14). 5. Disconnect governor control linkage. Refer to paragraph 3-30, steps 4 and 5. 6. Remove and discard cotter pin (15) from bracket and pedal (22). 7. Drive shaft (16) towards inner frame and lubricate shaft (16) with clean oil. 8. Using suitable pliers, push shaft (16) toward outside of vehicle while depressing governor control pedal. 9. Remove items 17 thru 22 as an assembly from bracket. 10. Remove cotter pin (17), pin (18) and roller (19) from pedal (22, Figure 6-16). Discard cotter pin (17). 11. Remove two washers (20) and roller bearings (21) from pedal (22). CLEANING Clean all parts. Refer to Chapter 2. Go to Sheet 3 6-28 Figure 6-14. Figure 6-15. Figure 6-16.
